About The Role

The role of a Financial Advisor is to confidently guide customers through the life insurance buying process by educating customers on how life insurance works, which products are best suited for specific situations, and to provide a world-class customer experience by ensuring transparency in an industry that’s generally overly complicated, ambiguous and slow to adapt to change.

You will be responsible for sales outreach to customers that have gone through our quick and easy underwriting process and have been approved for coverage. The sales conversation includes a 'needs analysis' to understand the customer’s insurance needs, a review of recommended coverage options within that range, and guidance when reviewing the policy contract so the customer can make an informed and confident buying decision. We’re looking for experienced sales professionals with exceptional communication skills, a strong passion for helping others, and a drive to improve and get better each day. In this role, you will:

  • Identify and understand an individual’s needs through in-depth discovery and effective communication via email, SMS, phone, and/or in person.
  • Manage a pipeline of approved customers and provide omnichannel support to drive approval conversions
  • Build relationships and instill trust with customers to drive monthly and quarterly conversion targets
  • Communicate the authentic value proposition and how we differ from other life insurance options in the market
  • Educate customers on their life insurance policy options and relevant policy details
  • Iterate and improve upon workflows and outreach strategies
  • Close new sales opportunities through effective inbound lead follow-up
  • Drive referral activity by creating positive customer experiences
  • Partner with marketing, underwriting experience, customer support, operations, and product to execute team and company goals
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and life insurance industry trends

Skills & Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, account management, or related roles
  • Proven track record with the ability to hit sales targets
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency experience with Salesforce or equivalent sales/CRM software
  • Startup grit and can adapt to changes quickly
  • Incredible drive to win
  • Quick learner comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills including strong phone presence
  • Life insurance experience is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
